A journey to yourself
About
I am a registered psychologist managing a private practice in Margaret River, in the beautiful Southwest of Western Australia. Originally from Spain, I first fall in love with this area in 1998 when I decided to make it my home.
I am passionate about self-knowledge and self-acceptance, and the constructive and creative power and peace that rests within this knowledge. I work from a trauma-informed perspective, with attachment theory at its centre.
I utilise a person-centered and strength-based approach in which the individual’s experience and knowledge is at the centre of the conversation that seeks to ‘unravel’ the issues and identify and overcome barriers.I am a solution-driven person and in therapy, my aim is to work together to generate solutions to the challenges that you may be experiencing so you can live a happier, more fulfilling life that truly aligns with your needs and values.
I am experienced with ASD and ADHD presentations, diagnosis and neuro-affirming practice. I have expertise in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and anxiety disorders (GAD, social anxiety, phobias and fears), depression and depressive disorders, addiction, emotional regulation, stress, anger issues, self-worth, confidence and self-esteem, life transitions, life satisfaction and interpersonal issues across the lifespan. I also offer parenting sessions and have extensive experience helping parents of children with neurodevelopmental differences.
I hold a BPsych and a BA Psychology (Hons). I have training post-graduation on the CoolKids program for Anxiety Program offered by Macquaire University, the APS Principles and practice of CBT and APS Advance CBT, ACT program, APS Practice Certificate in Disaster Support. I am currently completing the UWA Graduate Certificate in Autism Diagnosis.
I also fluent in Spanish and can conduct our sessions in Spanish for those who prefer.
I hold general registration with APHRA (PSY0002591938) and I am member of the Australian Psychological Society.
